Set up by a team of skiing and snowboarding enthusiasts, all of whom have lost a family member or a friend to cancer, Ski 4 Cancer is primarily a provider of respite breaks for British families affected by cancer.
We also make grants to UK based care institutions and support research into the positive effects of exercise (e.g. skiing) and how it can help with cancer prevention and recovery.
Their challenge is a BIG one. In just one day they intend to ski a vertical height of 29,029 feet or 8,848 metres.
To put this into perspective, that's as high as most airlines fly or the equivalent height of 3,400 flights of household staircases!
Leah, Andy, Paddy and Aileen be undertaking the challenge in Saalbach alongside Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards to raise funds for Ski 4 Cancer.
We've known a lot of people who have been affected by cancer... we are doing this to help other people who are going through the same thing.
If you're able to sponsor us to complete this mammouth challenge, we would be very grateful indeed.
